I am in SHOCK!!!
This morning started with a very early "rise and shine" to get the kids fed, dressed and out the door by 7:10 a.m. to go to the Embassy!
We got there, got in (with an appointment letter) and SAT. It was an okay sitting time because we had such anticipation of what might happen.
By 10:00 I was called to the window and was able to submit my "visa application documents" then my file was put into the "cue" (or order of appointment)
2 hours later, and many trips to the bath room (that had self flushing toilets, and automatic sinks...Kids got a KICK out of those...not a lot of "potty" happened, but it was a good distraction )we got called to the window for our interview.
It took 45 mins. In the discussion and paper work stuff, we got to the questions about the Visa.
Amazed and EXCITED...we are getting our Visa on Thursday and flying back to the USA and my beautiful family and friends on FRIDAY!!!
Thank you to ALL of you who are continuing to stand with us as we finish our jourey in Ghana.
We started with a desire to walk in STEP with each STEP the Lord had for us and we get to finish the same way.
Some sadness today with the celebration....the D's approval is one day behind ours, so it makes departure times and dates a bit off of our schedule...I will let them tell their story. :O( The kids will miss traveling together, but God must have some things in store for both of our families with the Timing of departure.
We are looking forward to being home!
Today at the Embassy, Victoria reached over and put her fingers on my face "please mum, my hands are cold"
Boy is she going to be surprised when her hands will not just be cold for a few hours in the AC, but for DAYS!!!
So, we are spending our next few days, getting another "hair-do" for Victoria, re-packing, shifting rooms ONE last time, and spending ALOT of time PRAISING GOD for our ENTIRE time in GHANA....hard times as well as good times!
See you all SOON!
