Divine Connections

Carrie and I awoke this morning getting ready to navigate and organize our days remaining in Ghana. As Carrie was getting ready I was reviewing the blogs of some of our friends who have gone before us! We know that some of you know the Lohrers and some of you know the Hansen-Quinne families, however if you don't we want to encourage you to read their latest blog entries as these devine relationships that has God has uniquely connected to us in the last year have been for just such a time as this! There is sooo much depth in their blogs and the sharing and perspective they have! Amanda, Phil, Sam and Maria thanks for taking the time to share your lives and allow God to fill us up thru your experiences and words!

I (Dave) can't help but be overjoyed and excited about the momentum God is creating in our small town and within His Kids Our Homes regarding adoption. God is grabbing peoples hearts and more importantly people are stepping out in faith, not one family or two families or one step or two steps but many steps after many steps! It is our prayer that thru the stories being shared that all those who read will be not only blessed but spurred on to be obedient to the call God is knocking on their hearts about.

Thru all of the various family adventures, there is a bit of a "megaphone" being used right now and it is bringing ALOT of awareness to ALOT of people that previously may not have had the opportunity to learn and see that it is possible to take the first steps and then the next and so on. If you are one of them be encouraged! If you are wondering what you can do...ASK God and Listen to what He tells you.

I am continually being reminded and encouraged and spurred on by the teaching we received over a year ago in Dream Realization School at our church regarding how God gets things done. God gets things done thru his people but if we look at any effective ministry God is getting things done thru people that He has divinely connected for His purposes at a given point and time.

A year ago we had just shared the vision for His Kids Our Homes with our Pastor and others and today we are in Ghana and developing a relationship that will I am sure astound us 1 year from today! A year ago we did not know the Hansen-Quinne family and many others we have come to know as we have begun to sound the megaphone about the worlds and our communities hurting children.

With so much of our focus lately having been on the international adoption and the amazing things He is doing in Ghana it is important to remember international adoption is not for everyone and what is SO IMPORTANT is that each and every one of us is seeking and listening to God and stepping out in faith in the area He is leading us! It is thru the devine connections that God is putting before us that He will knit together His Complete Plan, together, by each of us being obedient to God, He will continue to do amazing things! Some of our plans are interwoven and some of our plans may take us to seperate corners of the world but today we are reminded and praising God for how He devinely uses all of us to carry out His purposes!

Millions and Millions of children throughout our community and world needing support and help, it can at times appear to be an impossible task to make a difference....NO PROBLEM for OUR BIG GOD as HE is the DIFFERENCE MAKER!!

Blessings on your day!
Dave
