Use Your Head!

Each week we (the Blaske Bunch) go to the soccer field to support the Lynden LYNCS boys soccer team. We are devoted fans...in the rain and COLD, we bring our blankets, gloves and warm coats and sit on the benches and listen to John do play by plays as the ball flies all over the field!
For those of you who know my son Brock...he lives soccer out loud every day 360 days a year. There is always a soccer ball in his car, as well as his cleats, and gear...so he can be READY to play at a moments notice.

When we got home soccer season had just started. High school soccer is...well...from this Mom's perspective...high contact....but there is NO gear or pads....I am learning to not gasp or hold my breath as guys run into eachother.
(of course there are rules and fouls and I understand them better and better each year, but it is still a bit hard for this mom to watch)

This day, Brocks team was playing the Lynden Lions. (public school vs private school...small town rivals) Both sides of the field are filled with guys Brock knows...kind of a FUN game for him and for us to watch.
Below.....score is tied 1 to 1.
What you see here is a corner kick sent right across the goal, and number 7, blue jersey (Brock)
USING HIS HEAD
to put the ball in for the winning GOAL!
Lynden Christian LYNCS 2, Lynden Lions 1!!!!
GO TEAM!!!

Here is Bock running to the FAN side of the side lines after the game, with the team...John running out to give him a High Five!
John thinks Brock is the Best!
