PLAY

Play time at Beacon House is really amazing to watch, and be in volved in!
These kids have many dimensions of great relationships that come with joy and trial. (like any big family)
THe kids PLAY out side A LOT! Trampoline...4 kids at a time, Soccer...mini games happen all the time...using the gate as a "goal" area, bike riding, big wheels and skate boards all used with great joy. The kids play macala (oware) DAILY....they are good at it. The house mom's play as well and have many laughs. Jump ropes....bubbles....and cars get zoomed around all the time.
The kids do amazingly well playing together, and know how to make groups and move when things get frustrating....all the kids look out for the babies, (ie....soccer running, slides, and general play)

I am enjoying the great conversations with the house mom's about how they are instilling character and vlaues into the kids...man do they do a great job! THe conversations with Shelter and her GOd given heart to love and train John and all the kids....inspires me! GOd calls people to task and she is in her task with well epuipped gifts to accompany them.
Enjoy the PLAY pics!

Wow Carrie!

My mom sent this link to us and my wife, Kristin, and I have been reading and looking at pictures and are so excited for your family! So great to see how you are doing and now we know how to keep up to date on all that you are doing! We just took a trip to Kenya in November and haven't stopped thinking about it since. What an amazing place! We'll be praying for you all and keep checking in to see how things are progressing.
